Jordan Elizabeth Johnson, Class of 2010

Jordan Elizabeth, my 17 year old niece, will be graduating from Moapa Valley High School in June. I'm proud of my little one. She has worked hard and achieved much already in her life. She is quite impressive! JJ was born on June 11th. I remember the day very well; I was in the 4th grade. She is the first niece that came into our family and she was completely adored. She still is, of course. Good Luck Miss Jordan. I love you!

Remember how you used to say,
You couldn't wait for tomorrow for a brand new day

No fuss when you had to ride the bus,
You'd just add a little blush,
To paralyze your school crush.
Now you're older and the weight is on your shoulder,
make the world a little colder no more hidin' in the old day.

Be strong, don't you give up hope.
It will get hard,
Life's like a jump rope!

Blue skies
Calling on blue skies
Don't take them away boys
Don't take them away
Is something out there far beyond the clouds
I'm asking help me
Help me to see the world
Through baby eyes and hold me closely
I need a fresh start on the roller-coaster made for coasting

I want the world to know
I've got your back
Through up and down

Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.I’ll play you for it. Rock, paper, scissors.
Woman must not accept; she must challenge.
She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her;
she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression.
There are two ways of spreading light ...
To be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it.
Cut not the wings of your dreams,
for they are the heartbeat and the freedom of your soul.

Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do.
Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.
